Russia to China: You Shouldn't Have Stolen Our Jet Fighter

Michael Peck at Test Feed Using Fields - 10 hours ago
*Michael Peck* *Security, * And Beijing might be paying the price. Cheaters never prosper, says Russia. Remember that Russian carrier-based jet that China copied without permission? Those airplanes are crashing, and Russia doesn't seem too broken up about it. Though Russia and China are now friends, even holding joint exercises, Russia's Sputnik News recently trotted out an article titled "Chinese Navy Short on Carrier-Based Fighters, Only Has Problem-Ridden J-15." Protests continue on Jeju Island

Bruce K. Gagnon at Organizing Notes - 10 hours ago
Protests grow on Jeju Island, South Korea as the US brings 'Fleet Review' to the island - a massive display of Naval power to remind China and Russia that the US 'owns the Pacific' (and the rest of the world). Call it the 'arrogance review'. No matter where Mr. Big goes today with his military arm of corporate globalization the public is opposing it. The people know their lands, their environment, their safety and their sanity will be endangered by the US military.

Sometimes I had too many. Hallelujah -- Kavanaugh admits he drank beer in high school. *National Review*'s Charles C.W. Cooke would like you to believe that Kavanaugh already admitted that in his Fox News interview, but he didn't: KAVANAUGH: ... yes, there were parties. And the drinking age was 18, and yes, the seniors were legal and had beer there. And yes, people might have had too many b... more »

On one hand, a tight labor market is pushing inflation to levels that normally call for higher interest rates: Today’s Fed-heads are old enough to remember the 1970s, when failure to get inflation under control produced a decade... more »
